Paresh Rawal enthralled everyone with his first production release, OMG! Oh My God. The senior actor is back this time with his his second venture, a biopic on Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi.
Paresh Rawal has won two National Film Awards in his career so far for Sir (1993) and Woh Chokri (1994).
The Rawal-Modi friendship goes back a long way. It is also a known fact that the
former campaigned for him last year, during the Gujarat elections.
As per reports, the veteran actor is most likely to portray the character of Modi, in the untitled flick. But, the news that he is going to produce it comes as a shock to many. He defends himself by saying that he believes in good films and hence, the move.
Mitesh Kumar Patel, an NRI of Gujarati origin, first floated the idea of making a biopic. He was fascinated by Modi's story. His journey from a common man to the chief minister of Gujarat is not known by all and this is the foundation of the story.
The director is yet to be finalised. The movie will go on floors in February next year.
