Prabhudheva has often been pegged as the Indian Michael Jackson. Which is probably why UTV Motion Pictures and director Remo D’Souza have decided to make use of the comparison in their upcoming film ABCD — Any Body Can Dance. Prabhudheva will pay tribute to Michael Jackson by doing MJ’s signature moves in a song in the film, in his style.

Director Remo, who is a huge MJ fan and never misses a chance to say so, couldn’t have been happier. What’s more, the choreographer-turned-director will also feature in the song with Prabhudheva. Remo says, “Yes, it is true that we have thought about this. We want to execute it when we shoot our next song, where Prabhu features with me. Everyone knows how deeply I respect Michael Jackson and when I’m doing a film on dancing, it is impossible to not have something on him.” Meanwhile the makers are also persuading Madhuri Dixit to groove with Prabhudheva for another song for the film — especially after their last dance number ‘Que sera sera’ from Pukar (2000).
The song will be shot in multiple locations across Mumbai like the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Dharavi among others, essentially capturing the essence of the city’s spirit. This Hinglish song will be a high energy dance number and have freestyle moves choreographed by Remo.
ABCD releases in February. The film will be shot in 3D and stars reality dance show Dance India Dance winners, who will be playing central roles. Lauren Gottlieb, winner of the popular US television talent show So You Think You Can Dance, will also
feature in the film.
