As Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor shoot for their film Barfee in Punding village, about 20kms from Siliguri, we bring you a glimpse.
She may be a glam diva on the silver screen, but Priyanka Chopra seems to be a religious person at heart. Her ‘sacred’ avatar came to the fore on Mahashivratri (February 20). At that time, Priyanka was shooting for for Anurag Basu’s upcoming film, Barfi!, in Darjeeling. Since she is a devotee of
Lord Shiva, she wanted to visit a temple to offer her prayers.

But because the crew was working on a tight schedule, she decided to personally request director Anurag Basu and actor Ranbir Kapoor to give her a few hours to visit a temple that was located about 40 kms away from the shooting spot.

“She went all out to make sure that she didn’t miss the darshan (prayer ceremony) on the auspicious day. She was so excited when she asked them to give her time off that Anurag and Ranbir immediately agreed,” says a member of PC’s entourage.

When contacted, the actor says, “I had a beautiful darshan at a local Shiva temple in Darjeeling with a few team members of Barfi!. It was an amazing experience.”
The film is set to release immediately post the Indian Premier League’s fifth edition, around June.
