Madhur Bhandarkar has approached Priyanka Chopra to replace pregnant Aishwarya Rai in his troubled venture Heroine but his producer Ronnie Screwvala is keen on casting the original choice Kareena Kapoor.

the film was shelved, owing to Aishwarya's pregnancy, Madhur Bhandarkar went into a shell. But now he has decided to go ahead with it, and there are various names floating around - Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. But the race is now between Priyanka and Kareena," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
Madhur, who is reportedly annoyed with Aishwarya for not coming out clean about her pregnancy, wants to rope in his Fashion heroine Priyanka Chopra. "Priyanka is in LA and Madhur has spoken to her. He is waiting for her to get back," added the source.
However, Ronnie has approached Bebo. "Ronnie had called Kareena but since she was busy shooting for Bodyguard with Salman Khan, they could not meet immediately," the source told the tabloid.
Dates need to be worked out for both the actors. While Kareena is busy with Bodyguard and Agent Vinod, Priyanka is committed to Anurag Basu's Barfee and Kunal Kohli's next.
