Ranbir Kapoor’s recent release Barfi! has turned out to be a landmark film in his career. The actor has been bombarded with calls and congratulatory messages from everyone, right from the who’s who in the industry to his fans. And guess what all this appreciation has resulted in? Ranbir’s phone seems to have crashed!

A source reveals, “Ranbir hasn’t stopped getting calls and messages from people. Everyone who has watched Barfi! has been calling him to tell him how much they have enjoyed watching his performance in the film. They’ve told him that he has done complete justice to his role.”

The source adds, “All this happened in a matter of a day or two, as soon as the film released. Ranbir has to immediately get a new phone thanks to his old phone crashing. But naturally, he is delighted. It’s amazing to see the kind of response and appreciation he has received.”

In Barfi!, Ranbir plays the role of a deaf and mute person, and the film is set in the ’70s. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Ranbir stars opposite Priyanka Chopra, who plays an autistic girl and Ileana D’Cruz, who made her Bollywood debut with the film.
