Anurag Basu is out with a new track from Barfi! featuring Ranbir Kapoor with ladylove Ileana D'Cruz. Arijit Singh has lend his voice to romantic number Phir Le Aaya Dil. Music is by Pritam.
Chemistry between the two is worth watching out for. While adorable Ranbir Kapoor wins your heart in this track too, Ileana D'Cruz looks quite promising. The soulful number seems to be a sure-shot hit.
The romcom revolves around a boy named Murphy (Ranbir), whom everyone calls Barfi! Always ready with a prank up his sleeve, he's quite the charmer even though he can neither speak nor hear.
His bitter-sweet relationship with Shruti (Ileana) and Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra) sets in motion a chain of events that turns his life upside down.
After the superhit Rockstar, National Award-worthy performance is expected from Kapoor boy.
Barfi!, which is co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV Motion Pictures, is scheduled for September 14 release.
Barfi actors Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra play deaf-and-mute and autistic characters respectively, but they insist that the film is not about disability.
Ranbir Kapoor: "I would say that one should not associate this film with disability... this film is not about disability. It is a coincidence that these two characters are deaf, mute and one is autistic. But one will not feel that it is a disability film. It's about enjoying life, giving happiness, feeling love. It's a love story."
Priyanka Chopra: "When we meet differently-abled people, or people who are special, we have a view point that they have a dark, sorrowful life we feel bad for them, it is not a film about that. There are people who smile, laugh, fall in love, enjoy.. it's that side of their life. So it is not about disability."
Southern actor Ileana D'Cruz, who's making her Bollywood debut with Barfi!, says the film has been an amazing experience for her: "It's been a mix of everything; chaos, tonnes of hard work and emotions. It was loads and loads of fun."LATEST UPDATES
