A source close to the film says, “Randeep plays a bold and aggressive journalist in the film, and to prepare for the role, he met several channel heads. He wanted to get a feel of the job and understand how a newsroom functions. When you watch him in the film, his character will definitely remind audiences of two very well known Indian TV anchors.”
Producer Ashi Dua confirms the news, saying, “It’s true that his role is based on two real-life news anchors. It’ll be interesting, as his character gels well with his own personality.”
Karan’s segment that is titled, Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh, also stars newcomer Saqib Saleem, who was recently seen in Mere Dad Ki Maruti. The film comprises three other short films, directed by Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap.
