Horror seems to be the flavour of the season in Bollywood.
It has been quite some time since Bollywood came up with supernatural thrillers like Raaz, Kaun or Mahal. The genre, however, now seems to make a come-back this year with four movies lined up for release. We take a look at the upcoming horror flicks.
Release Date: March 22, 2013
Director: Supan Verma
Producer: Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak
Cast: Bipasha Basu,Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shernaz Patel, Doyel Dhawan
Plot: Aatma is a haunting journey of a single mother Maya Verma (Bipasha Basu) who finally starts her life afresh with her six year old daughter Nia (Doyel Dhawan). As Maya starts to pick up the pieces of her life, strange things starts happening around her. Maya's six year old daughter Nia starts to speak to her dead father (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) but Maya initially feels that she has created an imaginary father to fill the gap in her life. Slowly Maya's life starts to fall apart and the reality gets darker when she realizes that her husband is back to take that one thing he loved-his daughter. As the horrific journey unravels the battle to save her only daughter gets tougher and challenging. But she denies defeat even if the stakes are impossible.
What to expect: Aatma claims to turn your world upside down as it makes you confront your worst nightmare.
The tagline of the movie says "Feel it around you". We expect Bipasha Basu to scare us with her acting, just as she did in Raaz. Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the dead man is something new for the actor. The first trailer of the movie that was released on February 11, however, does not leave much room for expecting a spine-chilling experience with Aatma this March.

What to Expect: Another supernatural thriller, but this isn't just another story with ghosts running around the house. The movie's name claims to re-visit the concept of Daayan (evil spirit that lives among humans in form of women). Will Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj manage to scare the audiences? Well, at least the first look of the movie suggests so.
