A week ago, Sanjay Dutt had just about finished dubbing for Anand Kumar’s Zilla Ghaziabad. But the actor, who plays the role of a Haryanvi police officer in the movie, was not satisfied with his pronunciation.

According to a source, the actor often overheard his driver, who is from Haryana, speaking on the phone in a heavy Haryanvi accent.

“He picked up the accent and a few tips on some colloquial words from him and then decided to redub a portion of the film,” says the source.

Producer Vinod Bachchan says, “We were content with the outcome, but Sanjay sir wanted to improve his work. It has worked out brilliantly.”
