Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and stars Imran Khan-Anushka Sharma.
It remains to be seen if the audience appreciates Pankaj Kapur’s flamboyant act in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola (MKBKM), but the actor already has a fan. Son Shahid Kapoor loves his dad’s latest avatar in director Vishal Bhardwaj’s film that hit theatres on Friday.

“It is really great to watch
my dad in such an entertaining role after a long time. It’s an enjoyable film. Also, two people who are important to me are associated with it — dad and Vishal,” says Shahid.

Incidentally, Vishal had helped the actor break out of his chocolate-boy image with the critically acclaimed Kaminey (2009). And Shahid is excited to see how their chemistry evolves in the film and hopes it will be a huge success. “I wish them the best for the film,” says Shahid.

MKBKM is a comedy-drama in which Pankaj plays a colourful industrialist who loves his drink and his daughter Bijlee (Anushka Sharma). Bijlee, in turn, loves Matru.

Shahid is also reportedly coming together with Vishal again in the Kaminey sequel, but he prefers to remain tight-lipped about this development.
