Akshay-Sonakshi's Joker has opened to not-so-impressive reviews. The film directed by Shirish Kunder released on August 31.
"It's a family film that will make you and your kids come out with a smile on your face," he added.
It was reportedly actor Akshay Kumar, the lead actor of the film, who insisted on keeping the film short for the kids' liking.
Kunder helmed his first film Jaan-E-Mann in 2006. It did average business at the box office.
Joker, which also features Sonakshi Sinha, will release Aug 31.
