Actor Sonam Kapoor’s last two films, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag with Farhan Akhtar and Raanjhana opposite Dhanush, did great business at the box office. The flicks also won her critical acclaim. And considering that both the films were shot in Delhi, the actor feels that the city is lucky for her.
Now, her next film, Yash Raj’s, Bewakoofian, with Ayushmann Khurrana, helmed by Nupur Asthana, is also set in Delhi and that has given the actor high hopes for the project. Sonam, who has also shot her films Aisha and Delhi-6 in the Capital, says that Delhi holds a special place in her heart, and she has a gala time whenever she is in Delhi. "Delhi has always been special as it is where my grandparents, cousins and lots of friends stay. I love staying in Delhi. Shooting in Delhi is like an added bonus,” she says.
The film was shot in various parts of Delhi and Gurgaon in February this year with Khurrana, who plays her love interest in the film and actor Rishi Kapoor, who plays her onscreen father.
"Sonam spent a lot of time early this year in Delhi, juggling between the film sets and touring the city. She enjoyed the process thoroughly. Sonam has a positive vibe about the film and is all the more certain that the Delhi-luck factor is going to rub off on her upcoming film as well,” says a source.
