Actor John Abraham says his upcoming movie, Shootout at Wadala, will be a “career defining film.”
Come March 19 and the makers of Shootout At Wadala will release the music of the film in a grand style at a city mall. The entire cast — including John Abraham, Tusshar Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Sunny Leone — will be present at the event, which will boast of a specially created set. The
film, which is touted as a ‘prequel’ to Shootout At Lokhandwala (2007), has been in the news for the story it is based on — a police encounter in 1982 where known gangster Manya Surve was shot dead in the city.

“Given the stature of the film, the music will have to be launched in a big way. We’re giving out some great commercial chartbuster,” Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures says, About the look that the actor will sport in the film, he says: “John (Abraham) plays Manya Surve, wo we have kept his look as authentic as possible. However, the movie is a mix of fact and fiction. Though it has been adapted from a book, some characters have been altered. John will look like a typical, good-looking Maharashtrian gangster.”

Garg adds that viewers will get to see Anil Kapoor in a very fit avatar, “He plays a cop, so there wasn’t much to work on in terms of his looks.” Actor Manoj Bajpayee will also be seen playing a very different role. “We have given him a very retro look.”

Although film is based on a real-life incident, Garg says that the makers have ensured that it is also entertaining for the audience. “The teams has taken creative liberties to make sure that the film doesn’t look very dark and stays commercial.
