Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan has been making headlines ever since its announcement. And now that it's finally released on Independence Day, it's no suprise that fans are going berserk over it.
After dancing to chartbusters like Chikni Chameli (Agneepath, 2012) and Sheila ki jawani (Tees Maar Khan, 2010), actor Katrina Kaif wants to do something different. The actor recently played the role of a diving instructor in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), and shot an ad film
underwater in Thailand for a popular mango drink without any diving gear to support her. She will now be seen performing full-fledged action scenes in at least two out of four of her forthcoming projects — Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom 3, Yash Chopra’s Diwali release and Dostana 2.

Katrina has supposedly already shot a couple of punch-and-kick sequences for Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan, that too without undergoing too many workshops and rehearsals.

“I just wish I continue to play loads of different characters because I get to learn so many new things. I have shot some really exciting stunts in Ek Tha Tiger. It was an electrifying experience for me. I don’t think I’ve done something like this before,” she says, refusing to give away the details. “The fun is lost even if I remotely describe the scenes. But I have to admit that the action is challenging.”

When prodded about her rumoured underwater fight scenes, and a spicy item song with Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3 that rolls out in June this year, the 27-year-old actor says, “Dhoom 3 is an action-packed film. It’s a successful franchise that has superb cinematography, songs and action scenes. But without shooting for it, it would be unfair for me to tell you exactly what I’m going to do. You’ll have to wait and watch.”

Meantime, the actor has decided to give her one-song appearances a break for now. “I’m happy with all the appreciation that came my way for Chikni Chameli. We worked really hard on it. By the time we wrapped up the shoot, I was extremely exhausted,” recalls Katrina.

“But it’s all been worth it. Right now, I’m focused on the two films I’m shooting, and the third that I will start soon. And there are no plans for any other solo song appearances.”
