Sonakshi’s an item girl, again

Sonakshi Sinha recently signed Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullet Raja opposite Saif Ali Khan. Now comes the news that she has an item number in the film too.
Confirming the news, Rahul Mitra, managing director of Brandsmith Motion Pictures, who are producing the film, says, “The situations demand
that the film have two item numbers. Sonakshi will do one of them, which Saif will also be part of.” Mitra also clarifies that for a change, Sonakshi is playing a modern role. “It’s not a sari-clad character. She’s an urban Bengali college-goer, who is Saif’s love interest. The film is a hardcore
entertainer, with romance and a bit of humour.”
Sajid-Wajid will compose the songs. “They will do the background music too. Two songs have been locked so far,” says Mitra.
In the film, Saif will play a gangster. His last negative role was in Omkara, back in 2006. He and Tigmanshu have been having extensive meetings to discuss his look and diction. The film will go on the floors on November 1. Mitra says, “We will shoot in Kolkata, Mumbai and Lucknow.”
