Actor John Abraham says his upcoming movie, Shootout at Wadala, will be a “career defining film.”
This is the first of its kind when actor John Abraham will be playing a strong role. The trailer, which is full of action-packed scenes, already gives a glimpse to John's powerful acting.
The film has been mostly shot in slums in Mumbai.
John Abraham is playing a gangster called Manya Surve who was shot dead in Wadala, Mumbai. The film will dramatise the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where Surve was shot, which took place at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Sangam Nagar, Wadala on 1 November 1982.
It is a sequel to 2007 Bollywood film Shootout at Lokhandwala based on the book Dongri to Dubai written by Hussain Zaidi.
Apart from John, the film has Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood. Priyanka Chopra will also be appearing in a cameo appearance and an item number-mujra song.
