Amidst controversies and protests, Sunny Leone's much-awaited Jism 2 finally hits the theatres.
The romantic number is sung by KK and lyrics are by Arko Pravo Mukherjee and Munish
Makhija. The song is fresh and melodic but visually it's quite similar to the Jism's title track which was released on June 28. It's a little disappointing for Leone's fans who were expecting more.
The erotic thriller revolves around a porn star (Sunny), who is hired by a dashing intelligence officer (Arunoday) to become a honey-trap for a dreaded assassin (Randeep). In doing so, she not only has to confront her bitter-sweet past, but is also forced to make an impossible choice - one that will put her own life in double jeopardy.
Sunny on her character: "There are a lot of aspects in me that are similar to the character I'm portraying on screen. She is a very complex person with different shades. There is a huge sense of loss this character goes through, and I believe that most women and men have gone through this whether in relationships or family. My character is trying to find her way, the right way, but goes through a lot in her mind to figure it out."
"Jism 2 has been a very gratifying experience! Thank you Pooja for challenging my withering soul and making it bloom," Mahesh Bhatt had tweeted. Producer-director, Pooja Bhatt replied: "That is far more generous than is true. But then that's your nature. I thank you for giving me a director proof script."
Jism 2 is a sequel to 2003 flick Jism which had John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the lead roles.
The film is slated for August 3 release.
