Irrfan Khan starrer The Lunchbox bagged a lot of appreciation from critics and the film has been doing extremely good business. Considering its niche audience, the movie has earned Rs. 8.25 crore in four days, which is commendable.
Taran Adarsh tweeted the the break-up: Friday - 1.25 cr, Saturday - 2.60 cr, Sunday - 3.25 cr, Monday - 1.15 cr, which makes it to the total of Rs. 8.25 cr. This is despite the film has released in 400 screens only.
On the flipside, Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz's Phata Poster Nikla Hero didn't do well at the box office. The film has earned Rs. 24.40 crore so far. The break up goes like this: "Friday - 6 cr, Saturday - 7 cr, Sun - 8.25 cr, Mon - 3.15 cr. Total: 24.40 cr," tweeted Adarsh.
