Mothers of Bollywood stars have always stood up for their kids in happy and sad times. They have been at the forefront whenever their kids have required support. It is the strength of these mothers that make the stars what they are.

She wasn’t in the public eye for a while, except for her TV shows and movies, but when Sooraj Pancholi was embroiled in the Jiah Khan suicide case, Zarina Wahab not only stood up in her son’s defence, but also spoke in Jiah’s favour. She’s truly a great source of strength for Sooraj.

After the untimely death of her daughter Jiah, Rabbiya Khan, in spite of her personal loss, has been unfailingly fighting it out to seek justice for her daughter. She has been fearless against all odds to fight for the truth.

Rati Agnihotri reportedly has plans to buy the rights of the hit film Ek Duuje Ke Liye (1981) and cast her son Tanuj Virwani in Kamal Haasan’s role. She has also been spotted on promotional tours to support her son for his upcoming debut.

Babita has been a source of inspiration for her daughters, Karisma and Kareena Kapoor. She raised them to be independent and supported them throughout their highs and lows, personal or professional.

Shilpa Shetty was vocal about the support she received from her mother Sunanda during the IPL betting case against her husband Raj Kundra. The actor wrote on a social networking site that her mother’s support gave her strength.
