Ja Chudail from Delhi Belly also uses the cuss word

Stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das is set to add another feather to his cap. Come October, the actor turns producer, under his banner Weirdass Comedy that will produce six films in two years.

Vir, along with partners Kavi Shastri, Rohan Joshi, Tanmay Bhat and Amogh Ranadive has

collaborated with filmmaker Kunal Roy Kapoor to work on six original scripts. He says, “The idea was to make original content. All the partners will be in the movies. We are currently scouting for a lead heroine.”

Vir appears alongside Imran Khan in Abhinay Deo’s forthcoming film Delhi Belly, where he plays a cynical graphic designer. “He is beaten, shaved bald and loses his jaw in the film,” he says.

In the meantime, Vir is off to a 25-country tour with his stage show, History Of India. “I am quite excited about this tour since I will be in a new country every four days doing a total of 50 shows,” he says.

Imran Khan
