Long before hitting the floors, Krrish 2 is already making news. And although director Rakesh Roshan is tight-lipped about it, speculations have been rife around the sequel and its actors.
Apparently, Vivek Oberoi’s negative lead in Krissh 2 is inspired by the iconic portrayal of the Joker by the late Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight (2008).
Sources close to the Roshans reveal that the basic traits of Vivek’s characters are similar to that of the Joker. “Vivek is planning to go all out with his negative role. Rakesh sir is also confident he’ll pull it off,” says the source.
For the film, Vivek apparently will not only be going through intense physical training, but will also be kept in isolation for a minimum of two weeks to get into the mind of his character — a maniacal criminal mastermind, whose motive is to create a world without rules.
Also, it’s believed that the production house — owned by the Roshans — is in talks with the make-up artistes who worked on Ledger’s Joker act. When contacted, Vivek says, “I am in no position to talk about it right now.”
Currently, Vivek is wrapping up Anand Kumar’s Zilla Ghaziabad in Wai, along with co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. He has also done a cameo in the Marathi film, Teecha Baap Tyacha Baap. Vivek will feature in a Marathi movie for the first time in the principal song ‘Golmaal hai…’ along with other Marathi stars.
