Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat took film promotions to another level as they shared a T-shirt at the unveiling of the first look of their film KLPD—Kismet Love Paisa Dilli.
Looks like the producers of two of Vivek Oberoi’s films are set for a major showdown of sorts in the coming days. How else would you explain producers Kumar Taurani and Amit Chandrra sticking to the decisions of releasing their Vivek-starrers — Jayantabhai Ki Love Story and Kismat Love Paisa
Dilli, on the same date — October 5.
So much so, that Vivek’s intervention has also failed to sort out the issue. Amit wants Taurani to start his film’s promotions only after his movie releases while the latter looks ready for the confrontation at the box office. “Kumarji is not ready to listen. If both our films come out on the same date, it will confuse the audiences as both of them star Vivek. Therefore, I want Kumarji to start his promotions only after October 5. Kumarji should understand that our business would be affected if we release the films on the same day,” explains Chandrra.
Ask the debutant producer if Vivek has intervened and he answers. “For Vivek, both the films are important. And it would be awkward for him to intervene.” Taurani, on his part, says that the actor got in touch with him. “Yes, Vivek called me up to say that I should ‘understand’ and move from the date. But I told him that Amit can also ‘understand’,” says the veteran producer.
Taurani has decided to stick to his stand since there are no free weeks available after October 5. He justifies saying, “Since I started my promotions (the first poster) before Amit, don’t I have the right to release my film first? The one good thing is that both the films are completely different from one another.”
