Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films are a visual treat. The director's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas were not only vast in canvas, they also had the perfect blend of colours and emotions.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram-leela hits theatres on Friday. The Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh-starrer is a passionate love saga. Browse through for more.
The director's latest flick Ramleela looks like a pot pourri of all his previous films - we see a
bit of Khamoshi The Musical, a lot of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and in the new song, Nagada Sang Dhol Baje, Devdas is re-visited.
The number also looks inspired by the Dholitaro Dhol Baje number from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
In Nagada, Deepika Padukone is seen performing a garba and her lover Ram (Ranveer Singh) and Supriya Pathak are present during the sequence. The song seems to take the narrative forward in the film. Deepika is seen openly announcing her love for Ranveer, while Supriya Pathak looks mighty upset with her.
Everything is grand about the song - the costumes, the music, the choreography and the make-up.
What we like: Deepika Padukone's fiery attitude
What we do not like: Absence of novelty factor
