Actor Sameera Reddy was last seen in 2010 film Red Alert essaying the character of a naxalite. She is now gearing up to show her daredevil side in her upcoming film Tezz. The 28-year-old, who marked her acting debut in Bollywood in 2002 with Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, says her journey so far has been
quite fulfiling. Read on as sexy Sam talks about her career, controversies, personal life and much more.
On her role in Tezz
It’s been physically very testing. I’ve done a lot of stunts like rafting and riding a bike for which I took six months training.
On item song controversy
I was never miffed with Priyadarshan (filmmaker) about the item number in Tezz, as reported by media. I respect him. There is only one major song in the film and it introduces my character.
On being the glam doll
I’ve no problem being a masaledaar heroine. In fact I’m proud of it. In Bollywood, it’s the jhatka matkas and naach gaana that works. I’m lucky that I’ve worked in all kinds of movies.
On her relationship status
I’m ready to mingle. But with the kind of hectic schedule and life that I have, it becomes very difficult for me to date anyone. I really want to find a nice guy.
On doing Kamal Haasan’s film
I’ve been approached for Haasan’s Viswaroopam. Talks are on for it, but I can’t say anything more on that.
