Singer-songwriter Georges Moustaki died on Thursday in the French Mediterranean city of Nice, his family said. He was 79. A Greek native, Moustaki grew up in Alexandria, Egypt, and arrived in Paris in 1951.

He’s currently riding high on the success of Aashiqui 2’s Tum Hi Ho and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’s Dilliwali Girlfriend, but singer and music producer Arijit Singh started his musical journey way back in 2005, with a reality show, Fame Gurukul.  Singer Arijit Singh talks about his humble beginnings.

An electric guitar played by Beatle legends John Lennon and George Harrison has been sold for $408,000 at an auction.  The instrument was custom-built for Lennon in 1966, reported Contactmusic. It was sold to an American buyer at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York.
