Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown, second right, and his wife Sarah, left, welcome Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf, second left, and his wife Sehba at 10 Downing Street in London.  Pakistan's president is holding talks with Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Monday, a significant last stop on his European tour to shore up Western support for his creaking regime.
While in the Capital recently, Sehba Musharraf, wife of former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf, got a taste of some desi fashion. Sehba visited veteran designer Ritu Kumar’s store at Crescent Mall in Mehrauli, and indulged in picking up some ethnic style and traditional wear. “When
I met Sehba at the HT Leadership Summit, she told me she had heard a lot about Indian fashion and designers. So, I invited her to visit my store. Graciously enough, she came the next day, and we spent a wonderful afternoon together,” Kumar disclosed.

Kumar further revealed that while at the store,  Musharraf sifted through garments with intricate zardozi work and Benarasi and Bhagalpur silk. “She bought a sari for her daughter back home. It’s a delicate, tussar silk sari that she was sure would suit her daughter perfectly,” said Kumar, adding, “While Sehba seemed pretty knowledgeable when it came to the garments, she  was unsure about the measurements of a suit for herself. So, I decided to gift her an elegant unstitched,  orange one, with a paisley print neckline.”
