Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra will bring dollops of diva glam on the ramp at the closing show of the fourth edition of PCJ Delhi Couture Week on August 4. Malhotra will have actor Deepika Padukone showing off his collection inspired by Delhi’s nawabs and princes for the fashion week that kicks off today. And that’s not all. For the very first time, Delhi’s fashion fraternity will witness legendary French footwear designer Christian Louboutin’s red-soled beauties taking over the runway for an Indian fashion show.

Louboutin, the cost of whose famed shoes starts from Rs 21,000 and goes upto to Rs 2.7 lakh a pair, had spent a year in India during his younger days, and has often said that his Indian experience has inspired his work.

Malhotra, who is upbeat about opening his store in Delhi next week with this collection, feels that Deepika is perfect to show off his designs. “Having just styled Yeh Jawani... and Chennai Express, Deepika will be perfect for this collection. She looks gorgeous in ethnicwear,” says Malhotra, adding, “I am working very hard on my show — not just the clothes, but on the settings and music — to recreate the era of 1930s and to then mix it with my craft.”
