Want to go for a trendy hairstyle without a haircut? Or do you want to sport your favourite celeb’s hairstyle? Here are some tips on how to get a totally different look — without having to go under the scissors. Wear it long:
With hair extensions, there is no limit
to what hairstyle you can sport. Beauty expert Komal Gulati says, “Hair extensions are a popular choice. For round face, opt for side-swept bangs and extensions with soft gradual layers. Retro waves are great for oval faces. Those with a heart face shape, could choose long hair extensions with fringes or wispy layers to reduce the broad forehead.”

Wig it in style:
You can add a fun element with wigs available in different styles. Hair stylist Vikas Marwah says “Wigs can instantly change the look as well as the mood. Unlike synthetic ones, wigs made of real hair can also be coloured and blow dried but are comparatively expensive.”

Braided beauty:
Braids can spice-up your look. “Braiding is really hot with youngsters. You can also add some glitz and sparkle with the shimmer extension available in various colours,” adds Marwah.

Clip it right:
Hair accessories are the ‘in’ thing. “Hair bands with swarovski and beads are big. Chunky head bands that give a gypsy look are cool. You can tie your hair into a bun with a feather rubber band or even twist the hair and create an unkempt look with bright hair clutchers. Gaudy hair pins and cute tic-tacs look nice,” suggests Gulati.
