Tarun Tahiliani, once again, enthralled one and all with his outstanding prêt collection on Day Two of the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. The collection was inspired from the Ottoman Empire, which was one of the largest and longest lasting empires in history. Not only
the designs but even the ramp view was exceptional with Qutub Minar in the backdrop. The offsite show was held at the terrace of Blue Frog restaurant in Mehrauli. The hot models walked confidently in high-slit dresses and backless attires in the chilly night.

IndraniAnother interesting feature of the show was its 120-feet long runway. In all, the designer showcased 52 garments, anarkalis and saris clearly standing out. His last two-pieces, silk lehengas, also won a lot of applaud. Combination of Indian and western silhouettes, play with drapes was an interesting watch.

His collection featured tunics, saris, cocktail dresses, kaftans, boleros, salwar pants, suits, lehengas and what not. The colour palette consisted of purple, maroon, blue, rust, black, grey and off-white. Fabrics used were georgette, silk, velvet and tulle. The second day couldn’t have ended better.

WIFW is scheduled for February 15-19 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
