Pizza outlet Domino's Pizza India, part of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, on Wednesday said that the company has rechristened its name from Domino's Pizza to Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd.
Despite the change in the name, the company continues to be a part of the Jubilant Group and holds the master
franchisee rights for the company's brand and operations for the whole of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, a release in Chennai said.
"The decision to change the name has been taken to align ourselves with the branding of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, promoted by Shyam S Bhartia and Hari S Bhartia" Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd CEO Ajay Kaul said in the release.
"The name change from Domino's Pizza India Ltd to Jubilant Food Works Ltd is also in sync with this ambition of ours", he added.
The company which commenced operations in 1996, has 274 stores present in 55 cities across the country, the release added.
