After a long night of partying or studying, if you crave for a quick bite but hesitate to step out, worry no more. Now, food is a few clicks away. Catering to Mumbaikars regularly pulling all-nighters is a new food delivery system, through the increasingly popular site
href="http://www.madorders.com">www.madorders.com, which operates overnight from 11 pm to 7 am.

The idea behind the venture is to ensure people never crave for food at midnight. “We cater to corporates, who work in nightshifts, as well the partying and studying crowd,” says Jigar Zatakia, 21, who founded the site along with partners Gautam Udani, 27, and Krunal Shah, 21.

FoodOn the veg-only menu are quick bites like burgers, pizzas, pav bhaji, pulav and a variety of sandwiches. Beverages or dessert are available as well. “Krunal’s father is into catering and handles the food aspect,” says Zatakia. The operation is based out of Ghatkopar and currently delivers from Sion to Mulund on the central line and till Bandra-Kurla on the western line. “We just have four delivery boys currently, but we will start delivering across the entire breadth of the city by January,” says Zatakia. The minimum order needs to be of Rs. 200. Bills of lower amounts are charged Rs. 30 extra for delivery.

The site even caters to parties and they have already bagged several orders for Christmas Eve. Unlike many brands, the service doesn’t promise to deliver in 30 minutes. “It could take us around 45-50 minutes to get there,” says Zatakia, adding, “A menu expansion is on the cards, as new chefs will join next month.”

So when do they catch up on their sleep? “We try to squeeze in two to three hours of sleep at night to remain fresh during the day. But yes, we have a manager who is always present till 7 am daily,” Zatakia says.
