Adele’s official theme song for the new Bond flick ‘Skyfall’ is to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the famous 007 agent on Friday.
Adele is also the first female artist to have three singles in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, and the first female artist to have two albums in the top five of the Billboard 200 and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously.
Though the tune is available for pre-order on iTunes, the 24-year-old singer will be premiering her song globally via her official site at 0:07 BST on October 5, the Telegraph reported.
The song will be available for purchase immediately afterwards.
Friday marks half a century of the successful Bond film franchise, and will be celebrated as the Global James Bond Day.
“I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall. There''s a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song,” she said.
However it did not take long for the 24-year-old singer to agree to sing the track.
“It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I’ve never done, which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings it was one of the proudest moments of my life,” she added.
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, Skyfall features a 77-piece orchestra as an accompaniment. (ANI)
