Actor Benedict Cumberbatch is all set to play a mysterious baddie in upcoming movie Star Trek Into Darkness. The film is a follow-up to 2009's Star Trek, which focused on the lives of the young Kirk and Spock and starred a young cast in a bid to find a new generation of fans for the franchise, reported Daily Express.
"I wasn't that interested in seeing a Star Trek movie, I'll be honest. I love it but I just wasn't that interested. And people said, 'No, you should just go and see it. It's a great film.' And lo and behold, the Trekkie in me was reborn, he said.
Cumberbatch, 36, is believed to be playing terrorist villain and Captain Kirk's new nemesis John Harrison in the movie, although the role is shrouded in secrecy.
