Pixar's most-awaited animation film Brave is all set to hit the screens soon. Here's a look at brave Princess Merida's journey and the challenges she meets before she reaches her goal.
This weekend a pair of animated kids' films will face off in a few markets but it appears that the current No. 1 film, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, is likely to stay on top for the third week. The challenger to the group of zany zoo animals, Brave, is about a young Scottish girl,
Princess Merida, who must use her sharp archery skills to end a horrid curse. The film features the voices of Emma Thompson, Robbie Coltrane and Billy Connolly.

Brave is poised to win the US box office with 77% of advance ticket sales on Fandango, but given its limited international release this weekend, Madagascar 3 could reign again.

The threequel Madagascar 3 features the comedic voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock and Sacha Baron Cohen.

Also, playing in limited markets is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a mash-up of history and horror genres produced by Tim Burton. Starring Rufus Sewell and Dominic Cooper, it opens in the UK, Russia, Pakistan, Portugal, Romania and North America this weekend.

The Amazing Spider-Man has its world premiere on June 22 in Rome, and the early buzz from film critics in Europe is positive.

The film then rolls out June 28 through the following weekend in Europe and Asia and is scheduled to open July 3 in North America, which is tracking a debut with $125 million.
