Django holds first place with $47.91mn at worldwide box office

Oscar-nominated Django Unchained is about slavery in Southern America.

According to Rentrak figures for January 27, Quentin Tarantino's Western, "Django Unchained," is at the top of the box office for the second week running. With about $47.91M takings worldwide, "Django Unchained" has maintained its pole position gained on the weekend of January 21.
"Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" is in second place.

The movie starring Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner earned $44M in 21 countries by January 27. This gory variation on the famous tale is at the top of the North American box office with $19M.

"Skyfall" is in third place. The 23rd "James Bond," which was in rankings limbo, took advantage of its release in China to claw its way back into the top three. The film made $35.4M compared to $3.15M the previous weekend.
