War Horse, Steven Spielberg's magnum opus is finally hitting theatres today, along with mushy releases Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, LOL and Valentine's Night. The movie stars Jeremy Irvine, Emily Watson and David Thewlis.
Veteran director Steven Spielberg's equine epic War Horse got six nods for the Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Music among others.

Synopsis: Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the World War I, the film begins with a remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets — British cavalry, German soldiers and a French farmer and his granddaughter. The War is experienced through the journey of this horse in the film.

Synopsis: Rahul Kapoor, 26, is on his way to become a carbon copy of his parents when he suddenly loses his job as an architect in Las Vegas. Afraid that he has let his parents down and they’ll be disappointed, Rahul decides to hide the truth and find another job.
When by a twist of fate, Rahul meets Riana Braganza, a quick-witted hairstylist, who is everything he isn’t, it leads to a series of events that lead them to meet on Christmas Eve in Vegas over a few drinks. But as expected, the ‘few’ become one too many.
Following this night of debauchery, they wake up to discover that they’ve gotten married. Now, Rahul has more than just his job loss to hide from his parents. They both decide to get it annulled as soon as possible and get an appointment from the court in ten days.
Over the next ten days, they have their share of arguments, moments and laughs that results in an unlikely friendship. But will this friendship turn into love? Will Riana’s warmth and fearlessness give Rahul the courage to face a long-simmering confrontation with his parents? Will a marriage that started as a drunken mistake between two highly unlikely people, help them find themselves and fall in love? The rest of the story deals with their growing relationship.

Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between the mother and daughter, LOL is a coming-of-age story of the modern times that aims to appeal both youngsters and elders.
