According to Variety, French actress Juliette Binoche is in talks to take part in the return of the radioactive reptilian monster Godzilla.
Actress Juliette Binoche, who will be back in French cinemas on March 13 in Camille Claudel 1915, could be a surprise addition to the cast of the
Godzilla reboot. After featuring in the American film Cosmopolis by David Cronenberg in 2012, the French actress is considering appearing in the blockbuster.
Chocolat star Juliette Binoche plays Didi Fancher in the film.
The producers have also contacted Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Argo), Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the hero of Kick-Ass, and Elizabeth Olsen, who will soon star in Spike Lee's remake of Oldboy.
British director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) will be at the helm of the Godzilla reboot and the screenplay will be by Frank Darabont (The Green Mile). The movie will offer another take on the mythical cinematic creature created in Japan in 1954.
The adaptation is set for release on May 16, 2014, 16 years after the last Hollywood movie about Godzilla by Roland Emmerich.
