Universal Studios has announced that Jurassic Park 4 will hit North American cinemas on June 13, 2014.
The project announced over the summer is now official, with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver working on the script. The two have already worked together on Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
Although Steven Spielberg directed the first two films (Joe Johnston directed the third installment), he will only sit in the producer's chair this time around. No director has officially agreed to helm the new blockbuster. Last week, Spielberg announced he was postponing his Robopocalypse project.

Before the fourth installment of the franchise hits the big screen, dinosaur fans will be able to relive the first three installments in 3D. From April 5, North American film buffs will be able to watch the cult films converted to the new format.
