In Spinning Gold, American actor and singer Justin Timberlake will portray Neil Bogart, who founded the acclaimed labels Casablanca Records and Boardwalk Records.
After a two-year hiatus, this project has been relaunched thanks to a deal signed with production house Foresight Unlimited.
Spinning Gold doesn't have a director yet, however, Timberlake will headline, coproduce and work on the script along with Timothy Scott Bogart, son of the revered talent scout.
During his career, Neil Bogart discovered major artists such as Kiss, Donna Summer, Joan Jett, Curtis Mayfield and Village People. He was only 39 when he died from cancer, in 1982.
The producers of Spinning Gold will present their project during the Cannes Film Market, starting in two weeks.
