Emmerich will play an outlaw who is seriously wounded and being threatened by his own gang, led by Bradley Cooper. To defend her husband, her life and their farm, his wife (played by Natalie Portman) will call on an old lover (Joel Edgerton) for help.
Filming on the movie started at the end of March and despite getting off to a bad start, Jane Got a Gun is coming together. Over the past few weeks, director Lynn Ramsay, as well as actors Michael Fassbender and Jude Law, have backed out of the project.
This will be the fifth time Noah Emmerich and Gavin O'Connor will be working together. They first worked together in 1999 on Tumbleweeds. After Miracle, Pride and Glory and Warrior, the two men recently joined forces for TV. The director was responsible for the pilot of The Americans for FX, in which the actor plays an FBI agent who lives next to a pair of KGB spies during the Cold War.
