The film, Pairon Talle, has won global applause much before the film’s release in India last Friday. Written and directed by Sidharth Srinivasan, the film went to over 10 international film festivals and FORBES India magazine chose it, as one of the top 10 films to look forward to in
India.
After acquiring multi-platform distribution with the Global Film Initiative in USA And Canada, as well as Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg, the Indian release, courtesy PVR Directors Rare, comes as icing on the cake for a very original Indian story, which is an ode to Delhi NCR.
Pairon Talle, Soul of Sand, received the prestigious Hubert Bals Fund award and premiered at the Toronto Int’l Film Festival 2010, to great acclaim. “This is a film of extraordinarily striking aesthetics,” says Cameron Bailey, artistic Director of the festival.
