Animation film, The Greenchic — Finding Dad, has got support from unexpected quarters. If things go as planned, Baywatch babe and Bigg Boss contestant Pamela Anderson could be back in India to promote the children’s film.
Says producer Apurva
Shah, “We are trying to bring Pamela Anderson down for the film’s promotions. We can’t disclose our plans at the moment, but we will also try and get other celebrities who promote vegetarianism.” The film releases worldwide on June 17.
The reason why Pamela is backing this small-time animation film is due to her association with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
The Indian chapter of the organisation is actively involved with the film since it promotes vegetarianism. And though Pamela herself hasn’t seen the film, PETA made sure she was given a detailed description of the movie. Says Pamela, “If every kid in the world watched The Greenchic—Finding Dad, the world would be a better place.”
The movie revolves around a chicklet (Greenchic) and its family, who stay in the jungle. When a hunter kills the chicklet’s mother, it’s left upon her father to save the newborn. But in an attempt to save the chicklet, he too falls in the clutches of the hunter, leaving the chicklet to fend for herself. The film is being promoted as India’s version of the hugely successful Hollywood film, Chicken Little (2005).
