Taken 2 still leads the international box office

With $63.5M, Taken 2 remains the highest-grossing film in the world this week, according to Rentrak figures. After a record-breaking release for a French production, Liam Neeson's thriller continues to dominate the global box office.

Shown in 36 countries, Taken's sequel amassed $63.5M,
netting a $220M total after only two weeks on the market.

Taken 2Luc Besson's production directed by Olivier Megaton is a hit in North America.

Taken 2 retained its number one spot grossing $22.5M, dominating Argo starring and directed by Ben Affleck ($20.12M, in North America only).

Second place goes to Hotel Transylvania, with $31M.

This family-friendly animation movie precedes Sinister, a horror number that netted $22.25M in international cinemas.
