American actor Johnny Depp waves during a photo call before a press conference for his latest movie "Alice in Wonderland" in Tokyo.
Scriptwriters have been found for Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and Mortimer Wintergreen, two films in which Johnny Depp will feature.

Disney has chosen Jeff Nathanson to write the fifth installment of its action franchise led by the American star. The scriptwriter has collaborated with
Steven Spielberg on Catch Me if You Can, The Terminal and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

No details have yet been given about what will take place in this new installment.

Depp is also likely to star as a magician in Mortimer Wintergreen, a film he is producing and in which he could take the lead role, depending on scheduling.

The feature film written by Jack Thorne, the Skins scriptwriter, will focus on a brother and sister who run away from their aunt's house. They follow a man with a magic hat with whom they will have extraordinary adventures.

Susanna White (Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang) will direct this Warner Bros production based on Myron Levoy's novel The Magic Hat of Mortimer Wintergreen, set in 1890.
