It’s probably an established fact that women take more time to dress up before heading for a party or for work, compared to men. A new study takes it forward and concludes that it takes an average woman as much as 40 years to finally find out her fashion feet and ‘perfect clothes shop’.

Women
don’t get the hang of clothes shopping until they reach the grand old age of 57, and it is only then that they begin to feel Shoppingconfident in the clothes they buy, Daily Mail reported.

The study that was conducted among 2,000 women by shopping portal www.myhigh.st also found out that by that age, women are also least likely to return clothes they have invested in, try on items in store before purchasing or need compliments to feel good about what they are wearing.

Niki Blackmore of www.myhigh.st, said, “This report is a clear indication that it takes a considerable amount of time before women really start to know what they are looking for when going clothes shopping.”

Psychologist Niranjan Reddy says, “A possible reason behind this could be because studies have proved that women, in general, do not want to make mistakes. They are more meticulous and cautious compared to men, so they probably take time to decide stuff, but at the end of the day they just want to be perfect with their decisions.”
