Director Anand Gandhi’s Ship Of Theseus (SOT) has been garnering rave reviews from its screenings at various film festivals. The movie, which is soon going to get a theatrical release across India, has so far managed to generate quite a buzz, so much so, that the makers arranged a special screening
of the film for the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani team on a request from director Ayan Mukerji.
And now, we’ve been told that the makers have been approached to showcase the movie to inspire some young students. A source close to the film reveals, “The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) invited Anand and Kiran Rao (who is presenting the film) to show their film in Pune on June 21. The screening was for the 2013 graduating batch at FTII as they would surely get to learn a lot from the movie and it would be encouraging for the young talents.”
After the screening, on the evening’s program was a discussion where both Anand and Kiran would interact with the students to discuss the film and inspire them for their future endeavours. When contacted, Kiran says, “Anand and I are happy to show the film to students of FTII. SOT is an enlightening movie.” At the time of going to press, Kiran and Anand were travelling to Pune for the screening.
