A leading London bookmaker has placed bets that Adele will sing the new James Bond theme for new flick Skyfall.
Adele is also the first female artist to have three singles in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, and the first female artist to have two albums in the top five of the Billboard 200 and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously.
William Hill originally offered 4-1 that the 24-year-old singer would get the prized role, but the figure narrowed to evens due to the volume of bets, the Telegraph reported.
There have been a number of reports claiming that the ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer was to get the role, although there has still been no official confirmation about her involvement.
One report claimed that her track will be having the same name as the 23rd Bond movie, ‘Skyfall.’
“The way our punters were backing her, it seems as though Adele was going to be the only option to sing the Skyfall theme,” William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said.
“We are now unfortunately shaken, not stirred by this particular Bond battering,” he added. (ANI)
