MTV Bloc Party
A new initiative that’ll start in January, the MTV Bloc Party aims to convert a neighbourhood block into one big party hub. Spread over two days, the fest will begin on the beach at a Juhu hotel and move to three nightclubs in the area in the evening. Revellers will need only one pass to access all the parties.

Held in a scenic landscape surrounded by coffee plantations and spice gardens in Coorg, the Storm Festival’s excellent location is its biggest selling point. The prospect of living in camps for two nights, sitting around bonfires and participating in impromptu night jams with the artistes adds to its overall charm.
Last year, the debut edition of the fest saw backpackers and music enthusiasts from across the country travelling for this experience. We expect the crowd to get bigger as the festival itself is expanding this year — there will be four stages spread across 22 acres. Besides featuring popular artistes and bands, the fest, which aims to spread eco awareness, will also host workshops on yoga and farming.
Acts to catch: Swarathma, Agam, DJ Nikhil Chinapa, Siddharth Basrur
When: February 1 and 2
Where: Napoklu, Coorg, Karnataka

India Bike Week
Don’t be misled by the name. This first-ever festival of its kind may be dedicated to bikes but it’s no less than a full-fledged music event. There are three stages for live bands, acoustic performers and electronic dance music (EDM) artistes respectively that will keep the crowd entertained, apart from the vintage bike exhibitions, flea markets and a mixed martial arts fight club arena. The two–day event will be held in party capital Goa. “It’s going to be a serious music festival. We chose Goa because it is a great destination.
We’re planning to host it in Rajasthan also and trying to alternate it between the two states in the future,” says Martin Da Costa, CEO, Seventy EMG, organisers of the festival.
Acts to watch: Gentleman’s Dub Club, Pentagram, Sky Rabbit, Anish Sood
When: February 1 and 2
Where: Vagator, north Goa
