Music maestro Shafqat Amanat Ali
For Shafqat Amanat Ali, who spoke to us during the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, music festivals have always been a craze since childhood. “Right from when I was a kid, we were encouraged to go and attend musical festivals. Coming from a classical background, going to live musical shows
was one very important lesson while learning about music. So, I took this show up as a challenge and feel really good about it.” The Pakistani singer, who will be featuring in the second season of Dewarists, stresses how different it is to collaborate with different musicians.

“When you are an individual in a particular composition, it’s the reflection of that own individual artist. When it’s a team, you have different musicians coming together with different values/ inspirations and tastes. And it is some task to blend all of them together which should reflect in a song. It was a brilliant experience working with musicians like Salim-Suleiman who have been my mentors, and they bring their own set of ideals while working on some song.”
