AR Rahman might have taken six months to compose the theme song for the Commonwealth Games but he delivered a new composition for Madhu Mantena’s, Jhootha Hi Sahi in a day-and-a-half. The maestro saw the film at his studio in Chennai last Friday and told director Abbas Tyrewalla that a
title track would enhance the overall impact of the movie.
Tyrewala was initially apprehensive as the John Abraham-starrer is scheduled to open on October 15. But Rahman assured him that he’d deliver the song in a couple of days.

Mantena confirms the news: “We had recorded eight songs but no title track. Rahman insisted we had to have one and reasoned that it could play in the background just before the climax, so we didn’t need to picturise it. To save time, Abbas suggested he give us only one ‘antara’ (stanza) but Rahman came up with a complete song.”
